Adagrasib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Hemp interacts with.

Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP3A4 enzymes.

Adagrasib (Krazati) is a targeted cancer pill that your liver clears using an enzyme called CYP3A4. The concern here is that lab studies suggest hemp may speed up that enzyme. If it does, your body could break down adagrasib a little faster, which in theory might lower its blood levels and make it less effective at fighting your cancer. That's an outcome you really don't want with a treatment like this.

Now, the honest part: this is rated minor and is based only on test-tube research, not real people. We don't have human data showing it actually happens. Still, because this medication matters so much, please run any hemp products past your oncology team or pharmacist before adding them.

About Adagrasib

What Is Adagrasib Used For?

Brand name: Krazati

Krazati (adagrasib) is used to treat adults with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that carries a specific genetic change called a KRAS G12C mutation. It is used as a single agent for NSCLC after at least one prior treatment, and patients must be confirmed to have this mutation by an FDA-approved test.

Krazati is also used in combination with another drug called cetuximab to treat adults with KRAS G12C-mutated locally advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) who have already been treated with specific prior chemotherapy regimens. Both uses were approved under the FDA's accelerated approval program based on tumor response data, and continued approval may depend on results from confirmatory trials.
