Theoretically, yohimbe might reduce the effects of antihypertensive drugs.
Yohimbine, a constituent of yohimbe, is an alpha-2 adrenoceptor antagonist and has been reported to increase blood pressure in clinical research. Theoretically, concomitant use of yohimbe and antihypertensive drugs can interfere with blood pressure control.

Here's the simple version: felodipine lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. Yohimbe works in the opposite direction. Its active compound, yohimbine, can tighten blood vessels and push your blood pressure and heart rate up. So taking yohimbe alongside felodipine may partly cancel out the benefit you're getting, leaving your numbers higher than they should be.

I'll be honest, this concern is mostly based on how these two work in the body rather than lots of real-world cases, so it's more theoretical. Still, since the whole point of felodipine is steady blood pressure control, I wouldn't take chances. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding any yohimbe product, and don't change your felodipine on your own.

Felodipine also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES.

Theoretically, yohimbe might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that yohimbe extract induces CYP3A4 enzymes.

Here's the gist for these two. Your body clears felodipine using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab studies suggest yohimbe may speed that enzyme up. If that happened in real life, your felodipine could get broken down a little faster, which might leave less of it working to relax your blood vessels. In plain terms, your blood pressure could creep up rather than stay controlled.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. It comes from test-tube research only, the interaction is rated minor, and we have no good human data showing it actually matters. Still, since yohimbe itself can raise blood pressure and speed up your heart, it pulls against what felodipine is trying to do. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.

Yohimbe is a West African tree bark that contains yohimbine, a compound mainly promoted for erectile dysfunction and as an aphrodisiac. A prescription form of yohimbine has some evidence for erectile dysfunction, but over-the-counter yohimbe supplements vary widely in content and can cause serious side effects like high blood pressure and fast heart rate.
