Hydrochlorothiazide, Lisinopril falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Yohimbe interacts with.

Theoretically, yohimbe might reduce the effects of antihypertensive drugs.
Yohimbine, a constituent of yohimbe, is an alpha-2 adrenoceptor antagonist and has been reported to increase blood pressure in clinical research. Theoretically, concomitant use of yohimbe and antihypertensive drugs can interfere with blood pressure control.

Here's the concern with pairing yohimbe and your lisinopril/hydrochlorothiazide combo: the active part of yohimbe, yohimbine, tends to nudge blood pressure up by stimulating your stress-response system. Your medication is working hard to do the opposite, relaxing blood vessels and helping your body shed extra fluid to lower your numbers. So adding yohimbe can essentially work against your treatment.

If your blood pressure starts creeping back up, you might notice headaches, a pounding or racing heartbeat, or feeling jittery and anxious. Keep in mind this is a theoretical interaction based on how yohimbe behaves, not hard proof, but it's a real-enough concern that I'd check with your pharmacist or doctor before trying it rather than adding it on your own.

Yohimbe is a West African tree bark that contains yohimbine, a compound mainly promoted for erectile dysfunction and as an aphrodisiac. A prescription form of yohimbine has some evidence for erectile dysfunction, but over-the-counter yohimbe supplements vary widely in content and can cause serious side effects like high blood pressure and fast heart rate. What Is Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide Used For?

Brand names: Zestoretic, Prinzide

Lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide tablets — sold as the brand Zestoretic and as the generic combination — are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as stroke and heart attack.

This is a fixed-dose combination product and is not intended as a first-line (initial) treatment for high blood pressure. It is typically prescribed for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on a single medication alone.
