Yohimbine, a constituent of yohimbe, is an alpha-2 adrenoceptor antagonist and has been reported to increase blood pressure in clinical research. Theoretically, concomitant use of yohimbe and antihypertensive drugs can interfere with blood pressure control.

Your Timolide combines two blood pressure helpers: hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) and timolol (a beta-blocker that calms your heart rate and lowers pressure). Yohimbe works in the opposite direction. The yohimbine in it can nudge blood pressure and heart rate up, which may partly cancel out what your medication is trying to do.

The concern here is that taking yohimbe could make it harder to keep your numbers controlled, so you might see higher readings or feel your heart racing. Keep in mind this is a theoretical interaction based on how the two work, not strong patient studies, but yohimbe alone can be hard on the heart. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before trying it.

Theoretically, yohimbe might increase the levels and adverse effects of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that yohimbine, a constituent of yohimbe bark, inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme activity.

Timolide combines two blood pressure medicines: hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) and timolol (a beta blocker). The timolol part is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. In lab dish studies, the yohimbine in yohimbe seems to slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let timolol build up a bit, which might lower your heart rate and blood pressure more than expected, leaving you dizzy, lightheaded, or unusually tired.

Here's the catch though: yohimbe itself tends to raise blood pressure and heart rate, so it works against what your medicine is trying to do. This interaction is only based on early lab data, not real patients, so it's far from certain. Still, given those opposing effects, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Yohimbe is a West African tree bark that contains yohimbine, a compound mainly promoted for erectile dysfunction and as an aphrodisiac. A prescription form of yohimbine has some evidence for erectile dysfunction, but over-the-counter yohimbe supplements vary widely in content and can cause serious side effects like high blood pressure and fast heart rate. Because of these safety concerns, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
