Here's the simple version: Vyvanse is already a strong stimulant for your brain and body, and guarana is basically a concentrated dose of caffeine, which is another stimulant. Stacking two stimulants together can pile on the same kinds of effects. With Vyvanse alone you might notice a faster heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, less appetite, or feeling on edge. Adding guarana can turn those up a notch.

To be fair, this is a theoretical concern based on how these two work, not hard proof of harm, so I don't want you to panic. A little caffeine in a coffee or tea is different from heavy guarana energy supplements. If you're thinking about a guarana product, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first, especially if you have heart issues or anxiety.

Lisdexamfetamine treats Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults and children age 6 and older. It is also approved to treat moderate to severe binge eating disorder (BED) in adults.

It is not approved or recommended for weight loss, and its safety and effectiveness for treating obesity have not been established. It is not recommended in children under 6 years old.
