Hydrochlorothiazide, Losartan Potassium falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Hemp interacts with.

Theoretically, hemp seed protein may have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
In a hypertensive animal model, hemp seed protein hydrolysate reduced systolic blood pressure by a mechanism possibly involving the inhibition of renin and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) activities. However, there was no effect of hemp seed protein on blood pressure in normotensive animals. Furthermore, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans.

Hyzaar combines two blood pressure medicines: losartan (which blocks the angiotensin system) and hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill). The thought here is that hemp seed protein might nudge blood pressure down a little on its own, possibly by acting on some of the same renin and ACE pathways. In theory, that could add to your medication's effect.

Honestly though, this is very weak. The signal comes only from animal studies, and in those it lowered pressure in hypertensive animals but not in normal ones. In people, hemp seed oil hasn't clearly lowered blood pressure at all. So everyday hemp seeds or oil in food are very unlikely to cause a problem. If you take concentrated hemp supplements, it's reasonable to keep an eye out for dizziness or lightheadedness and mention it to your pharmacist.

Here's the gist with Hyzaar (losartan plus hydrochlorothiazide) and hemp. Lab studies suggest hemp may speed up an enzyme called CYP3A4, which could lower the levels of drugs that this enzyme breaks down. Losartan is partly processed through this pathway, so in theory hemp might slightly trim its blood-pressure-lowering effect, meaning your numbers could creep up a bit. The water-pill part, hydrochlorothiazide, isn't really affected here.

Honestly, this is a theoretical concern only seen in test-tube research, not in real people, and it's rated minor. Food amounts of hemp seeds or oil are very unlikely to matter. If you take hemp supplements regularly, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor and keep an eye on your home blood pressure readings.
