Roflumilast falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Hemp interacts with.

Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.

Here's the gist for roflumilast (Daliresp, Zoryve): your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break this medicine down. Some early lab studies hint that hemp might speed that enzyme up a bit. If that happened in real life, your body could clear roflumilast a little faster, which in theory might make it work slightly less well at keeping your COPD flare-ups in check.

The good news is this is very theoretical. It comes only from test-tube and animal data, not from people, and it's rated as minor. Eating hemp seeds or hemp oil as food is unlikely to cause trouble. If you're using concentrated hemp supplements regularly, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on how well your breathing stays controlled.

About Roflumilast

What Is Roflumilast Used For?

Brand names: Daliresp, Zoryve

Daliresp and roflumilast tablets are used to reduce the risk of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) flare-ups in adults with severe COPD linked to chronic bronchitis who have had flare-ups in the past. They are not rescue inhalers and will not relieve a sudden breathing attack.

Zoryve cream is used topically to treat plaque psoriasis (adults and children 2+) and mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults and children as young as 2. Zoryve topical foam is used to treat seborrheic dermatitis (adults and children 9+) and plaque psoriasis of the scalp and body (adults and children 12+).
