HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Bimekizumab-bkzx
Bimekizumab-bkzx falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Kava interacts with.
Kava has been linked with over 100 cases of hepatotoxicity. Most cases occur with excessive and prolonged use. There is some concern that kava can adversely affect the liver, especially when used in combination with hepatotoxic drugs.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the concern with pairing kava and Bimzelx (bimekizumab). Bimzelx is an injectable antibody used for conditions like plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. It isn't broken down by the liver the way pills are, so kava won't change its drug levels. The worry is different: both can be tough on the liver on their own. Bimzelx has been reported to cause liver enzyme changes in some people, and kava has been tied to rare but real liver injury, mostly with heavy or long-term use.
Stacking two things that can stress the liver may add up. This is a theoretical, anecdote-based concern, not a strong one, but watch for signs like yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Bimekizumab-bkzx page
“Bimekizumab-bkzx (Bimzelx) works by deliberately quieting part of the immune system to control plaque psoriasis, and its own label flags liver enzyme elevations, so the 89 supplement and herbal entries on this page deserve a careful read rather than a shrug.
