Yohimbine, a constituent of yohimbe, has sympathomimetic effects and increases blood pressure in a dose-dependent manner. Theoretically, taking yohimbe with stimulant drugs can have additive stimulant and hypertensive effects.

This combination product already has two ingredients that rev up your body: ephedrine, which acts like adrenaline, and theophylline, a stimulant that opens airways but can also speed up the heart. Yohimbe carries its own stimulant punch through yohimbine, which can push blood pressure and heart rate up on its own.

Stacking them together could pile these effects on top of each other. You might notice a racing or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, anxiety, or a jump in blood pressure. To be fair, this concern is based on how the drugs work rather than hard studies, so it's theoretical. Still, because both can stress the heart, I'd play it safe and check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.

Theoretically, yohimbe might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that yohimbe extract induces CYP1A2 enzymes.

This combination product contains theophylline, which your body clears partly through a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. There is a theory that yohimbe could speed that enzyme up, meaning theophylline might get cleared a little faster and work a bit less well over time. Just so you know, this idea comes only from lab (test tube) research, not from studies in people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Honestly, my bigger concern is that both yohimbe and the ephedrine in this product are stimulants. Together they can stack up effects like a racing heart, jitteriness, and a spike in blood pressure. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing these.

Yohimbe is a West African tree bark that contains yohimbine, a compound mainly promoted for erectile dysfunction and as an aphrodisiac. A prescription form of yohimbine has some evidence for erectile dysfunction, but over-the-counter yohimbe supplements vary widely in content and can cause serious side effects like high blood pressure and fast heart rate. Because of these safety concerns, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
