Norfloxacin falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Kava interacts with.

Theoretically, using kava with hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of liver damage.
Kava has been linked with over 100 cases of hepatotoxicity. Most cases occur with excessive and prolonged use. There is some concern that kava can adversely affect the liver, especially when used in combination with hepatotoxic drugs.

Here's the simple version: this isn't about kava changing how norfloxacin (Noroxin) works in your body. Instead, it's about your liver doing double duty. Norfloxacin, like many antibiotics, can occasionally stress the liver, and kava has been tied to rare cases of liver injury, mostly with heavy or long-term use. Put the two together and, at least in theory, you may be asking your liver to handle more strain at once.

This is a cautious, theoretical concern based mostly on scattered case reports, not strong proof. Still, watch for warning signs like yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness. Since norfloxacin is usually a short course, check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing it with kava.
