Azilsartan, Chlorthalidone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Kava interacts with.

Theoretically, kava might increase levels of CYP2C9 substrates.
In vitro research shows that kava significantly inhibits CYP2C9 enzymes. This effect has not yet been reported in humans.

Edarbyclor combines azilsartan (a blood pressure medicine) with chlorthalidone (a water pill). The azilsartan portion is partly handled by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In lab dish studies, kava appears to slow that enzyme down. If the same thing happened in people, azilsartan could build up a bit and push your blood pressure lower than expected. That might show up as dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint, especially when you stand up.

Here's the honest part: this is only seen in test-tube research, not in actual patients, so it's theoretical at this point. Even so, kava can also stress the liver and cause its own drowsiness. Before mixing the two, please check with your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on your blood pressure.
