Aspirin, Meprobamate falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Danshen interacts with.

Theoretically, danshen may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Danshen has been reported to have antithrombotic effects. Animal research also suggests that taking a danshen combination formula with clopidogrel exhibits a synergistic increase in antiplatelet aggregation and prolongation of coagulation time when compared with either taken alone.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with Micrainin, which combines aspirin (a blood thinner that stops platelets from sticking together) with meprobamate (a calming medicine). Danshen on its own appears to have its own mild blood-thinning, antiplatelet activity. So when you stack it on top of aspirin, you may be doubling up on that same effect.

In real life, that could show up as easier bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or a cut that takes longer to stop. To be fair, this concern is mostly theoretical and based on anecdotal reports and animal studies, not strong human trials. Still, because bleeding can be serious, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two rather than changing anything on your own.

Theoretically, danshen may increase the levels of aspirin and the risk of bleeding.
Research in healthy adult males shows that taking a combination of danshen and kudzu with aspirin increases plasma aspirin area under the curve by approximately 3.4-fold. Animal research also shows that taking a combination of danshen and kudzu (danshen-gegen formula) with aspirin increases maximal blood levels of aspirin and salicylic acid by approximately 4-fold and 3.7-fold, respectively, without impacting blood loss. Taking danshen increases the antiplatelet activity of aspirin and might increase the side effects of aspirin.

Your Micrainin combines two ingredients: aspirin, which thins the blood and eases pain, plus meprobamate, a sedative that relaxes you. The concern here is mostly with the aspirin part. In a study of healthy men, pairing Danshen (with kudzu) and aspirin pushed aspirin blood levels up by about 3 to 4 times. Danshen also gently thins the blood on its own, so the two stack up.

What that means for you: a higher chance of bleeding-type problems like easy bruising, nosebleeds, stomach upset or irritation, and dark or bloody stools. Please don't change anything on your own. Just check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining these, especially if you also take other blood thinners.

Aspirin, Meprobamate also falls under GLUCURONIDATED DRUGS.

Theoretically, danshen might affect the levels and clinical effects of drugs requiring glucuronidation.
In vitro research shows that danshen induces the expression of glucuronosyltransferases. However, it also inhibits the activity of glucuronosyltransferases, including various members of the 1A and 2B families. The extent of inhibition of a specific glucuronosyltransferase seems to be dependent on whether or not the danshen is processed via 'sweating'. This type of processing may affect the levels of constituents in danshen that alter glucuronosyltransferase activity. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the honest picture with Danshen and a product like Micrainin (which combines aspirin with meprobamate, a sedative). Your body partly clears these drugs through a step called glucuronidation. In lab and animal studies, Danshen seems to tug on those enzymes in both directions, sometimes speeding them up and sometimes slowing them down. Because the effects pull both ways, we can't predict a clear outcome, and this has never actually been reported in real people.

On top of that, both aspirin and Danshen can thin the blood, so combining them may raise your risk of bruising or bleeding, and meprobamate already causes drowsiness. I wouldn't lose sleep over the enzyme part, but please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor first.
