Benactyzine, Meprobamate falls under GLUCURONIDATED DRUGS — the group Danshen interacts with.

Theoretically, danshen might affect the levels and clinical effects of drugs requiring glucuronidation.
In vitro research shows that danshen induces the expression of glucuronosyltransferases. However, it also inhibits the activity of glucuronosyltransferases, including various members of the 1A and 2B families. The extent of inhibition of a specific glucuronosyltransferase seems to be dependent on whether or not the danshen is processed via 'sweating'. This type of processing may affect the levels of constituents in danshen that alter glucuronosyltransferase activity. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the short version on combining Danshen with Deprol (which pairs benactyzine and meprobamate). Your body partly clears meprobamate through a process called glucuronidation, the same handling system that Danshen seems to tug on. In lab dishes, Danshen pulls in two directions: it can speed this system up or slow it down, depending on how the root was prepared. So in theory it could nudge your medicine levels up or down, but honestly the direction isn't clear.

The important part: this is only test-tube and animal data, and it has never actually been reported in people. If levels did rise, you might notice extra drowsiness, dizziness, or feeling foggy. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before adding Danshen.
