Finasteride, Tadalafil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Danshen interacts with.

Danshen might alter the levels and clinical effects of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Preliminary clinical research in healthy males shows that the administration of danshen for 10-14 days induces intestinal CYP3A4 and increases the clearance of midazolam, a CYP3A4 substrate. The maximum concentration of midazolam was decreased by 31% to 67%, and drug levels were decreased by 27% to 80%. However, a single dose of danshen has the opposite effect, increasing maximum concentrations of midazolam by 87%.

Entadfi combines two medicines in one capsule: finasteride and tadalafil, both used for an enlarged prostate. The tadalafil half is partly broken down by a liver and gut enzyme called CYP3A4, and Danshen can tug on that enzyme. The tricky part is that it works in two directions. Taken regularly for a couple of weeks, Danshen seems to speed up CYP3A4, which could clear tadalafil faster and make it less effective. But a single dose appears to do the opposite and raise tadalafil levels, which could bring on more headache, flushing, stuffy nose, or dizziness.

This is early human research, so the real-world effect isn't fully nailed down. Before pairing Danshen with Entadfi, please run it past your pharmacist or doctor.
