Methyclothiazide, Reserpine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Danshen interacts with.

Theoretically, taking danshen with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research suggests that danshen can produce dose-dependent hypotensive effects. Furthermore, concomitant use with captopril appears to potentiate this effect.

Your combination pill (Diutensen-R) pairs methyclothiazide, a water pill, with reserpine, which calms an overactive nervous system. Both work to bring your blood pressure down. Here's the thing about Danshen: in animal studies it also seems to lower blood pressure on its own and can boost the effect of blood pressure medicines. So stacking it on top of your pill could push your numbers too low.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or faint, especially when standing up quickly. I'll be honest, this is based mostly on lab and animal data, not strong human studies, so it's more of a caution than a sure thing. Still, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding Danshen, and don't change your medicine on your own.
