Isosorbide Dinitrate, Hydralazine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Danshen interacts with.

Theoretically, taking danshen with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research suggests that danshen can produce dose-dependent hypotensive effects. Furthermore, concomitant use with captopril appears to potentiate this effect.

BiDil combines two medicines (isosorbide dinitrate and hydralazine) that both relax and widen your blood vessels to lower the workload on your heart. The concern here is simple addition: Danshen seems to lower blood pressure on its own, at least in animal studies. If you stack it on top of BiDil, your pressure could dip lower than intended.

What that might feel like is dizziness, lightheadedness, a pounding headache, or feeling faint when you stand up. The good news is this is theoretical, based only on lab and animal work, so it is far from certain. Still, since both push the same direction, it is worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if your pressure already runs low.
