Perindopril Erbumine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Danshen interacts with.

Theoretically, taking danshen with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research suggests that danshen can produce dose-dependent hypotensive effects. Furthermore, concomitant use with captopril appears to potentiate this effect.

Here's the simple version: Perindopril (Aceon) already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. Danshen, in animal studies, seems to lower blood pressure too, and it made the effect stronger when paired with a similar drug called captopril. So putting the two together could push your pressure down more than you want.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or woozy when standing up. I'll be honest though: this is based mostly on lab and animal research, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. If you'd like to try Danshen, check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your blood pressure readings at home.

What Is Perindopril Used For?

Perindopril Erbumine tablets are used to treat essential hypertension (high blood pressure). They can be used alone or combined with other blood pressure medicines, particularly thiazide diuretics.

Perindopril Erbumine tablets are also used in adults with stable coronary artery disease to lower the risk of dying from a cardiovascular cause or having a nonfatal heart attack. They can be used alongside other standard coronary artery disease treatments such as antiplatelet, blood pressure, or cholesterol-lowering therapy.
